Scholarship Information
Scholarships for New Freshman
- Presidential Scholarship Competition (by invitation only)
- 3.5 GPA or higher and 1180 SAT 1 on the critical reading and math sections or 26 ACT composite
- Several full in-state scholarships and partial scholarships available
- Completed admissions materials must be received in the Office of Admissions by January 15th
- Academic Excellence Scholarships
- 3.5 GPA or higher and 1100 SAT 1 on the critical reading and math sections or 24 ACT composite
- $1,500, $5,000 and $7,000 scholarships
- Priority given to students with persistent academic excellence
- Completed admissions materials must be received in the Office of Admissions by February 1st
- Dean’s Scholarships
- 3.2 GPA or higher and 1050 SAT 1 on the critical reading and math sections or 23 ACT composite
- Out-of-state students only
- Scholarship applied to room charge only
- Completed admissions materials must be received in the Office of Admissions by February 1st
Scholarships for Transfer Students
- Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
- Eligible students must be a member of Phi Theta Kappa
- 3.2 GPA or higher and must have completed 30 semester hours of college level work
- $3,000 Room Stipend, must reside in on-campus residence halls
- Completed admissions materials must be received in the Office of Admissions by March 15th
- Transfer Excellence Award
- 3.2 GPA or higher and must have completed 30 semester hours of college level work
- $1,500 and $2,500 scholarships
- Completed admissions materials must be received in the Office of Admissions by March 15th
Major Specific Scholarships
- Pridemore Scholarship in Theatre (by invitation only)
- Only Freshman majoring in Theatre are eligible to compete for this scholarship
- 3.3 GPA or higher and 1100 SAT 1 on the critical reading and math sections or 24 ACT composite
- $2,000 scholarship
- Completed admissions materials must be received in the Office of Admissions by February 1st
- National Science Foundation Grant
- Only Freshman majoring in Mathematics or Computer Science are eligible for this award
- 3.2 GPA or higher and a math SAT I score of 550 or higher
- Students should apply and qualify for need-based aid
- Enid K. Milton Math Scholarship
- Students majoring in Mathematics with a strong background in math and strong math SAT scores are eligible for this award
- The award amount varies each year and the scholarship is renewable, provided the student maintains a 3.0 GPA at RU and majors in math
